Once a model has been established and its validity verified, computational solutions are implemented to simulate how the system behaves under different conditions. These conditions are designed based on situations of interest and their variations, either due to uncertainty in the probable parameters or because of possible alternative scenarios. The results not only make it possible to estimate the most likely outcome but also to assess the stability of the solution and the risk that certain variables exhibit high sensitivity, which implies the need for closer and more frequent monitoring.
